The walk is infinitely inspiring: the expansive view out towards Dublin bay in contrast with the enclosed, protected view of the harbour, the experience of being relatively exposed to the elements while still being protected by a man made structure, the round turn at the lighthouse and the contrasting textures and sounds of the stone and surrounding sea. I can't wait to start translating these experiences into dynamic soundscapes.
Over the next few months I'll be on the lookout for soundtracks composed for particular journeys, or music that's composed to accompany a particular experience. If you have suggestions send them my way! One that I've come across is the London - Gatwick express tracks where three different musicians composed a thirty minute soundtracks to accompany the 30 minute train journey. You get a free download when you buy your ticket, now that's clever!
